ISDN provides you with a complete digital circuit from your business to Intertek. ISDN combines two 64K and one signaling channel to give you 128K upload/download speeds. And one of the features of ISDN is that in addition to internet access, you also get telephone service over the same line.
Because ISDN comes with two 64K data channels that handles both voice and data, it is the perfect fit for users needing faster access. Here is essentially how it works. When you connect to the Internet, both 64K channels are used for data transfer giving you a 128K upload/download connection. After your on-line, and you recieve a phone call, one 64K channel disconnects allowing you to talk on the phone but still stay connected so your Net surfing remains uninterrupted. When you hang the up, the second 64K channel reconnects back to Intertek thereby restoring your service back up to 128k.
ISDN does have a limitation though, you must be approximately 30,000 feet from the local telephone office.
